- working on the right thing is most important, productivity in the wrong direction is not worth anything at all
- have a plan. depending on your work you want it more or less granular
- working as an EM in a startup, my plan is mostly “if I get at least this done, it’s a good day” and the rest is defined by how the day goes
- make a lot of lists
- picking the right thing to work on means saying no to a lot of other things; constantly ask yourself if what you are working on is important
- don’t neglect things that recharge or make you happy. you will have more time to work, but it will be a net productivity loss because you are going to be less happy
- change physical location for different tasks
